Description

Assignment of raazryadnik of RTV-6 and RTV-10

  • Protector tubes RTV are intended for protection against a lightning overvoltage of isolation of transmission lines, and in total with other protective equipment, for protection of isolation of electric equipment (except the rotating machines) stations and ac substations of the frequency of 50 Hz.
  • RTV dischargers on rated voltage to 35 kV are installed in networks both with isolated, and with the earthed neutral, and RTV Dischargers on voltage of 110 kV - with the earthed neutral (short circuit coefficient on "earth" not higher than 1,4).
  • The RTV discharger is connected parallel to the protected object.

Advantages of tubular raazryadnik of RTV-6 and RTV-10

The RTV protector tubes when crowding the wave of a lightning overvoltage moving on line wires on substation reduce amplitude of a wave and shorten its length that promotes considerable attenuation of a wave at the movement on wires. As a result the limiters and valve dischargers installed on substation unload from currents of a lightning discharge that is necessary for reliable protection of isolation against a lightning overvoltage.

  • RTV dischargers can be operated in the conditions of open air at a temperature from-45 to +50 °C;
  • Relative air humidity at a temperature of +25 °C up to 100%;
  • Installation height above sea level no more than 1000 m.

Design and work of raazryadnik of RTV-6 and RTV-10

Structurally the RTV protector tube represents the device consisting of the closed sparking distance formed by two metallic electrodes (1) in a viniplastovy pipe (2) on which one end the open metallichessy tip is strengthened (3). The external sparking distance is formed by steel rod electrodes, one of which by means of a clip (4) is attached to an open tip. Fastening of RTV dischargers is carried out by means of collars.

Protective operation of the RTV discharger is caused by the fact that when approaching a voltage surge, internal and external sparking distances make the way earlier, than the voltage surge will reach the equipment of value, dangerous to isolation. On the way of breakdown current of commercial frequency begins to proceed, and on sparking distances there is an electric arc. Under the influence of high temperature of the arch burning on inner electrodes, walls of a viniplastovy pipe, decaying allocate a large amount of the gases creating a high pressure. Gases leaving through an open tip creates intensive blasting, the arch is extinguished upon transition of current of commercial frequency through a zero value, at the same time duration of arcing does not exceed one - two periods.

RTV-10 protector tubes serve for protection of isolation of transmission lines against a lightning overvoltage. Besides, in combination with other protective elements, they act as an excellent security measure of isolation of electric equipment, stations and ac substations of the frequency of 50 Hz. An exception are only the rotating machines.

Protector tubes have undoubted advantage - decrease in amplitude and reduction of length of a storm voltage surge. It helps to accelerate significantly attenuation of a wave during its movement on wires. Thus, loading of the limiters installed on substation and valve dischargers from currents of a lightning discharge is carried out.
