Seeds of colza are an economic source of receiving vegetable oil and forages with the high content of protein. Seeds of this plant contain more than 40% of oil, more than 20% of protein, and more than 6% of cellulose. From each hectare sowed by colza (at its average productivity of 20 c/hectare) it is possible to receive 1120 kg of meal which contains 40% of protein, the having balanced amino-acid structure, and in addition — 720 kg of oil. From 100 kg of seeds of colza more than 40 kg of oil and about 56 kg of cake turn out.
Oil from seeds of colza can be eaten. It can be used in the form of gas station for salads, be a part of kitchen fats and margarine. Rape oil is used also for the technical purposes
Modern grades of colza do not contain erukovy acid — it is replaced with linolenovy and olein acids. Colza oil significantly differs on the structure from oils of other cultures.
This oil is useful for health. In bezerukovy oil contains glycerides of nonsaturated fatty acids in significant amounts, but also two polynonsaturated irreplaceable fatty acids - linolenovy and linoleic.
Linoleic acid — the main component of cellular membranes. Linolenovy acid participates in an oxygen exchange of nervous cages. Oil has the low content of nonsaturated acids.
Rape cake represents a high-protein forage for farm animals. The cake received from seeds of nizkoglyukozinolatny grades can be added to diets of pigs, broilers, milk cows and calfs, laying hens, etc.
Cake contains a large amount of the main amino acids - cystine and methionine, and also it is a lot of lysine.
Glyukozinolata - the sulfuric connections which are present at some grades of colza limit its use as fodder culture.
This defect is eliminated at new nizkoglyukozinolatny bezerukovy grades.
High content of cellulose is corrected by elimination of a cover. The cake received from the purified colza is similar on structure soy cake.
Colza plays an important agrochemical role. Thanks to the short vegetative period it can be used as pozhnivny and poukosny cultures, for more rational use of an arable land.
Besides cultivation of colza has positive action on efficiency of the grain crops sowed after it as roots of colza exert positive impact on microflora and structure of the soil. And at addition of colza in a monoculture productivity of grain can increase more than by 20%.
After cleaning of colza at intensive cultivation about 7 c of the vegetable remains on hectare get to the earth that positively influences balance of a humus.
Colza is also melliferous culture.
