1,1,2 Trichloroethane: Vinil trichloride; beta Trichloroethane; Trikhlorvinil
Characteristic: Colorless liquid with characteristic sweetish smell. Let's well dissolve in many organic solvents. It is not soluble in water. 1,1,1 Trichloroethane easily are oxidized even at the room temperature, reaction accelerates in the presence of traces of water and some metals (Al, Fe, etc.). At the same time phosgene, HCl, CO2, H2O are formed.
Application: Use for cold cleaning of metallic surfaces, including containing non-ferrous metals (Al, Cu, etc.) and their alloys as oil-dissolving solvent, fats, tar, vosk, etc., for degreasing of electronic package, printed circuit boards, highly sensitive devices. Is usual component of such economic products as correction fluid for typewriters, means for removal of paint, glue and spots.
