METAL-CUTTING CERAMICS OF CERABIT

Cerabit (South Korea) is the registered brand of metal-cutting ceramics made since 1986 by one of the major concerns of South Korea - SsangYoug firm. The metal-cutting ceramics is the inorganic nonmetallic materials condensed by heat treatment and agglomeration. Ceramic materials in many respects win against such tool materials as firm alloys at the expense of their thermo - iznoso-and corrosion resistance.

Indisputable advantages of metal-cutting ceramics:

• possibility of high-speed processing thanks to heat resistance of the cutting plates (Vrez = 80 – 900 m/min);
