The iron vitriol - salt of sulfuric acid, puts itself crystals of greenish-blue color soluble in water.

The vitriol iron is applied at production of construction plates, cleaning industrial and sewage from chromic and cyanic salts, preparation of mineral paints (the Berlin azure), production of ink, dyeing of wool in the textile industry (as pickle), colourings of skin (in the tanning industry), enrichment of multisulphurous coals (as Wednesday), extraction of useful components from ores; production of iron-nickel accumulators.
