Gidotsiklon is the device intended for water purification from mineral inclusions (generally sand) and other particles differing on density. Hydroclones widely apply in the course of preparation of water at drop watering. The hydroclone consists of cylindrical part with a branch pipe for tangential input of a pulp under pressure of 0,5 — 3 kgfs/cm2 and conic part with a corner of conicity 10 — 60�.
Principle of action of a hydroclone.
At conic part of a hydroclone the peskovy nozzle through which the lower product of division unloads is provided. The feeding branch pipe of a hydroclone is located in such a way that the pulp is entered on a tangent and rotates in it with formation of external and internal streams. Firm particles are affected by centrifugal force and are rejected to the periphery. The more the mass of grain, the farther it will be rejected. The grains having the big weight, than boundary grains on which division is made remain in an external stream and, moving to hydroclone cone top, unload through a peskovy nozzle. Grains with a smaller weight get to internal. a stream are also taken out through a drain opening of a hydroclone.
The hydroclone at the request of the customer can be equipped additionally with the sludge-catchment basin (capacity for sand reception) and the filter of thin cleaning at the exit (see a photo)
